WORLD PREMIERE EXHIBITION

Letter by Letter (From the Woolf's Hands)

Handprinted Books By Virginia & Leonard Woolf

For the first time, all 34 titles that Virginia and Leonard Woolf personally hand-set, printed, bound, and published are brought together. These early Hogarth Press editions are true rarities in the literary and bibliophile world.

The original covers and illustrations, designed by Bloomsbury artists Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant, Roger Fry and Dora Carrington give each book a distinctive visual identity. With their limited editions and unique designs, these publications are now regarded as highly collectible and treasured works of art.

An unprecedented exhibition!

Made possible thanks to the generosity of the lenders,          co-founder Ben Majchrowicz and another private collector, and the collaboration with the professional team of the magnificent and unique Nottebohm Room in the Hendrik Conscience Library.

Accessible by guided tour only.

More information on guided visits, tickets, and time slots coming soon.
