Letter By Letter (By the Woolf's Hands).

Handprinted books by Virginia & Leonard Woolf

Not to be missed !

An absolute must-see UNPRECEDENTED exhibition, on view in Belgium for only 9 days before traveling to Charleston.

For the first time, all 34 titles that Virginia and Leonard Woolf personally hand-set, printed, bound, and published are on display with their variant bindings and covers. In addition, the handprinted books will be complemented by all Omega Workshop books, the inspirers of the Hogarth Press.

These early Hogarth Press editions are TRUE RARITIES in the literary and bibliophile world.

The original covers and illustrations, designed by Bloomsbury artists like Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant, Roger Fry and Dora Carrington give each book a distinctive visual identity.

With their limited editions and unique designs, these publications are now regarded as highly collectible and TREASURED WORKS OF ART.
